Will PCOS affect pregnancy?

A woman with PCOS appears to have a higher rate of:

• miscarriage

• Diabetes during pregnancy (gestational diabetes)

• pregnancy induced high blood pressure (pre-eclampsia)

• premature delivery or postterm delivery

• Caesarian delivery

• higher infant morbidity / mortality especially in multiple-birth babies (twins, triplets etc).

Regular medical checkup and observation will help reduce these problems.
